About me and my practice

I am an experienced counsellor and registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and have gained a wealth of experience over the past eleven years working both in private practice and for a number of counselling organisations and charities. My core training is in the Person Centred approach and over the years my practice has developed to integrate other therapeutic approaches. I have worked within community arts and wellbeing services for the past thirty years and can offer expressive arts activities within the therapeutic work to support clients if helpful.
I can offer counselling support online, by phone and also face to face from my private practice in South Lanarkshire.

Experience

I have been working in private practice for the past eleven years working with clients presenting with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, Bipolar, abuse, gender issues, coercive control, bereavement, relationship concerns and much more. I have also worked for a number of charities supporting people through post natal depression, trauma, sexual abuse, panic attacks, drug and alcohol addiction, family issues and other concerns. I currently work for a charity which supports minority ethnic carers and have a wealth of experience in supporting individuals experiencing prejudice and discrimination. Within community mental health and wellbeing services, I have extensive experience facilitating therapeutic arts groups and can also offer creativity within the counselling work if helpful for clients.
